Water4schools is a practical way to “walk the talk” in regards to environmental sustainability. The Water4schools programme is promoting the sustainable use of water. The programme encourages water conservation and awareness about water use by working with schools to install water tanks.

In 2012 & 2016, EERST received funding to implement the Water4schools programme in to some schools and preschools in the Bay of Plenty.

In 2018, Bay of Plenty Regional Council have kindly provided funding to put the programme into four more Bay of Plenty schools and preschools.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR BAY OF PLENTY SCHOOLS AND PRESCHOOLS!

Applications close 30/11/2018. Successful applicants will be notified in

    Term 1 2019.

There are 4 tanks sizes available – 1,100 litre, 5,250 litre, 15,000 litre and 30,000 litre.

    Want to get involved?

Schools and preschools can register their interest in Water4schools by completing an application form here. The application form includes:

    • Your school/preschools needs for the tank

    • Visibility – where the tank will be put

    • Current water usage

    • Letter of support

Please note: If your school/preschool is from anywhere outside of the Bay of Plenty, your interest will be noted but we will need to wait for a significant amount of interest from your area to attract some funding.

We would like to implement the programme into more schools and preschools so if you are interested in funding the programme, please contact Hope on 07 578 7025 or email water4schools@eerst.co.nz
