Common perceptions & questions asked

We haven’t ordered because we don’t know how many trees to order.
We can help you! All we need to know is how much paper and cardboard your school recycles per week/month e.g. number of wheelie bins, woolsacks or cages.

Our school never received an order form.
Please ensure that we have your schools correct email address and that the person in the office knows whom the Paper4trees contact person is at your school so that all information can be passed to the relevant person. Remember that anyone can order trees for your school.

We didn’t have time to order our trees.
Let us know how much paper and cardboard your school recycles per week or month and we can order a mixture of trees for your school.

The contact person has left so we didn’t know what to do.
Contact us on 0800 727 4873 and we can let your school know about the programme, this way your school does not miss out on free native trees!

We have changed recycling companies and didn’t think we were in the programme anymore.
It doesn’t matter which company your school recycles through, as long as paper and cardboard is being recycled!

Who collects paper and cardboard in our area?
We can do our best to help you but the best person to contact is the solid waste officer at your local council or your current waste collection provider.

When will our trees be delivered?
This depends on your location. North Island deliveries are generally in June, South Island is generally in September (please note these dates may vary with differing climates).

Where can we get more green classroom bins?
Contact us if your school needs any Paper4trees resources such as 30 litre classroom bins, laminated recording sheets, even woolsacks!

Can you please collect our recycling or we don’t have a collection in our area?
No, we don’t collect any paper and cardboard, it is up to schools to organise recycling. Take it to your local recycling station or ask nearby shops if your school can share recycling bins or think of other ways the paper and cardboard can be recycled e.g. by composting.
